OK! magazine subscription holders might be slightly alarmed to see the Italian premiere of Last Night, starring Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes, had to be called off amid protests.
The pair were left high and dry in their fancy gowns, with no red carpet to walk down, after the screening was cancelled.
Hundreds of actors, directors and screenwriters were protesting in the country over funding cuts to the arts sector, reports OK! magazine.
They decided the best place to take their demo was to the International Rome Film Festival in order to get their point across and cause maximum levels of disruption.
The film, which is due out next month, features a wife and husband, played by Keira and Sam Worthington, who are both tempted by potential affairs while Worthington's character is away on a business trip with Eva's character.
