Telly addicts with an Inside Soap magazine subscription will be able to read all about how one of Roy Cropper's relatives might turn up on the Coronation Street cobbles next year.
Speaking to the magazine, producer Phil Collinson said that a relative of the shy cafe owner is likely to be introduced in 2011, reports the Coronation Street blog.
"Early next year we might well bring in a relative of Roy but I don't want to reveal more than that right now. It'll be someone who really puts the cat among the pigeons for him and Hayley," he told the publication.
Hinting at other storylines for next year, Collinson also said that Rosie Webster and Jason Grimshaw will be the couple to watch, while Tracy Barlow's return will cause drama.
Today it was announced that Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald, will leave Coronation Street.
The actress has starred in the show for 21 years.
