The 82nd Academy Awards took place yesterday (March 7th) and gave Hello magazine readers the chance to find out if they had predicted the winners correctly.
Hello had asked its readers to vote for their choice of winners in the run up to the ceremony, but the competition results did not all reflect those of the poll.
While Hello readers had believed that James Cameron's science fiction adventure Avatar would scoop the Best Picture gong, it was his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow who walked away smiling after her war flick The Hurt Locker beat it to the punch.
However, one category where the results did reflect opinion was the Best Supporting Actress section.
Mo'Nique's role in Precious earned her an Oscar, meaning Nine actress Penelope Cruz failed to make it two in a row after Vicky Cristina Barcelona landed her the prize in 2009.
Colin Firth also missed out to Jeff Bridges, despite being tipped by Hello readers as a clear winner of the Best Actor in a Leading Role prize for his part in Tom Ford's A Single Man.
