Girls Aloud's Nicola is 'shy not miserable'

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has said she isn't miserable, she's just shy, and people with an OK! magazine subscription can find out even more.

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has confided in OK! magazine subscription holders about how people often misread her shyness.

The singer was talking to OK! magazine about her new beauty line, Dainty Doll, which she is "100 per cent over the moon" with and admitted she is growing in confidence.

She said: "I can be very shy. If I don't feel comfortable, I might come across as miserable. I don't want to put my foot in it. I am getting better and feel more confident."

The flame-haired star said her businesswoman approach could sometimes be judged as her having a bad attitude.

"That's one of my downfalls. It can get me into trouble sometimes. But I would rather that that people think 'she's dancing around being fake'. I'd rather people knew that what they see is what they get," she told OK! magazine.

Girls Aloud were created through the reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.
