Gaining a deeper inside into Rufus Wainwright's move from pop to opera awaits readers of the current issue of Aesthetica magazine.
The 36-year-old first received critical acclaim when releasing his debut album - titled Rufus Wainwright - in 1998, which helped him claim the Best New Artist accolade from Rolling Stone magazine that year.
Since then he has produced a further five studio albums, including All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu, which was released earlier this year and was the first since the death of his mother from cancer.
Meanwhile, the magazine also focuses on the CONTACT photography festival that is held in Toronto throughout the month of May and centres on how pictures can be used to analyse the way people communicate.
Over 1,000 local, national and international artists head to more than 200 venues across Toronto to celebrate and appreciate the profession of photography.
Elsewhere, there is a look at how non conformist Soviet art from the 1980s challenged the social and political world.
