Supermodel Elle Macpherson has been chastised by Heat magazine for one of her beauty secrets.
The Australian beauty, who is nicknamed "the body" for her great figure, has admitted to using Chinese medicine to keep herself looking good.
However, the rhino horn powder used to make the medicine has caused a stir among animal rights groups, who are concerned that such a big star would promote a product made from an endangered species.
She told the Times Online that the substance tastes "a little bit like crushed bone and fungus in a capsule" but that it "does the job".
However, despite the benefits to Elle's appearance, the source of the powder is one that may horrify many users.
According to animal rights campaigners, rhinos often bleed to death from the process used by poachers who hunt them for horns.
The beasts are usually shot or tranquilised to make it easier to saw off their horns.
Meanwhile, Elle recently took over the role of Britain's Next Top Model presenter from Lisa Snowdon.
