Heat magazine has suggested that US singer Katy Perry may have a crush on Geordie stunner Cheryl Cole.
Russell Brand's fiancee recently took part in X-Factor auditions in Dublin as a guest judge and is said to have gotten on like a house on fire with the Girls Aloud and solo star.
Sources at the show told the publication that the I Kissed A Girl singer made no secret about "how taken she was with Cheryl".
The pair reportedly spent the entire time giggling between themselves, which reportedly infuriated fellow judge and show boss Simon Cowell.
Perry later spoke about the event on Twitter, saying: "I wish Cheryl Cole tweeted. She was a sweeeeeetie pateeetie today (girl crush alert)."
It is not yet clear what comedian Brand, who has sworn to be faithful to his future wife, thinks of the situation.
