Following months of rumours, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have finally confirmed that they are to marry.
Heat magazine reported that a representative for the handsome British actor had revealed the engagement.
However, fans of the celebrity couple will have to wait longer for details of the proposal and future wedding as the spokesperson refused to disclose any further information.
Bloom is known for his roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings franchises, while his bride-to-be is a supermodel, who holds the coveted position of being one of Victoria's Secret's angels.
The couple got together in 2007 after being introduced by a mutual friend and have been with each other ever since.
"He's an incredible man and he's a very genuine and authentic individual. I'm grateful that he's in my life," Kerr is reported to have said of her fiance.
Bloom will not appear in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which will focus on Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbosa's search for the fountain of youth.
