Beach Boys set to reform

The Beach Boys are planning to get back together to play a 50th anniversary show and may even tour.

Fans of the Beach Boys will be getting some Good Vibrations from Uncut magazine's latest issue, with the news provider reporting that the group are preparing to reform to play a special 50th anniversary show.

Uncut magazine has followed up on a report by Rolling Stone which quoted founding member and guitarist Al Jardine claiming that the 60s rockers would get together for "at least one show".

"It's a big deal. I don't know where it will be yet, but it'll probably be free. Golden Gate Park was mentioned, as was the [National] Mall in Washington and the north shore of Chicago by the beach," Jardine told Rolling Stone.

He went on to confirm that the line-up for the performance would include Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston.

And fans of the band may be pleased to learn that Jardine is keen for the reunion to last for as long as possible, hinting that he is keen to take the show "on the road" and complete a "hundred-date anniversary tour".

The Beach Boys are the number one selling US band of all time and to date have released 28 studio albums.
