According to analysts quoted by Fortune magazine, the $34 billion (£21 billion) amassed by the e-retailer is only the beginning.
So why has it fared so well? The company has managed to innovate, says Fortune magazine.
Critics claimed Amazon's Kindle couldn't succeed in an Apple-dominated world, but it has achieved great things, becoming a "runaway hit", according to Fortune magazine.
"By creating the hardware, they almost created the industry," said Scott Devitt, an analyst at Morgan Stanley.
Fortune magazine suggests Amazon has put sufficient emphasis on service and the consumer.
"Amazon's customer-centric approach has come to rival longtime retail legends like Nordstrom," the publication claims.
According to the mag, Amazon takes on its competitors head on, allowing it to achieve great goals.
"Amazon sees the brick-and-mortar giants as its biggest competitors, and it beats them at their own game," reports Fortune magazine.
Recently, Amazon cemented its popularity in the gaming world by announced it would be the only retailer selling the UK version of Two Worlds II.
