Anyone who has a Time magazine subscription will be able to read about the US and UK declaring war on Libya.
A source told the publication that US president Barack Obama and his aides realise they are taking a risk in starting to fight Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and his troops.
"It's a huge gamble," a senior government administration official told Time magazine.
"The effort to shoe-horn this into an imminent genocide model is strained."
At present, there is no proof Gaddafi has committed war crimes in the country, however, it has been claimed Obama was convinced to go to war based on the idea atrocities could take place if there was no intervention.
"The ability for the US to muster international force to prevent thugs from killing innocent people is important," claims the Time magazine writer.
"But the president and some of his advisers are so eager to rehabilitate the idea of preventive intervention that they're exaggerating the violence they say they are intervening to prevent in Libya."
On Sunday March 20th, British, American and French troops attacked the African nation in a bid to enforce a United Nations-mandated no-fly zone in the country.
