Tina Brown, the new editor and the first female in the role at Newsweek magazine, said a whole host of editors, writers and photographers had helped her create the new issue.
She said she aimed "to recreate a great institution after its journey through tough times".
The latest edition of Newsweek magazine was released in time for International Women's Day, which took place on March 8th.
This year was the centenary year of the day, which aims to mark the economic, political and social achievements made by women around the globe over the past 100 years.
But Newsweek magazine did not only focus on women around the world in its new issue.
The publication also features heavily on photojournalism, looking at the momentous events which have been captured by snappers all over the globe.
