If you have a magazine subscription to New Law Journal then you’ll be pleased to know that you are reading an award-winning publication.
Last week the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL to those in the know) held their annual dinner in Newcastle last week. The Legal Journals Award was presented to New Law Journal, out of 14 publications that were nominated.
The award was set up in 2001 to recognise and reward legal publications that make an outstanding contribution to the legal industry.
Of the win BIALL Council member, Loyita Worley, said: “New Law Journal is a popular and highly esteemed title within the legal profession and covers all areas of law. Its well-written, informed content is up-to-date, topical and clearly presented. In addition, it is accompanied by a website that is easily searchable, providing added content.”
The award was accepted by Regional Academic Account Manager of Lexis Nexis, Caralyn Duignan, on behalf of the editor, Jan Miller.
“To be recognised for the work we are doing in the challenging times that lawyers face is particularly gratifying. NLJ aims to highlight all the changes, views and issues that confront the legal services market. We know that lawyers and all those working in the legal world face many challenges, and NLJ will be there to elucidate, make people think and sometimes entertain,” said Miller, shortly after.
