You can be rewarded for being extravagant this Christmas with help from the magazine, which has picked out some great offers that repay you a percentage of every pound you spend.
The American Express Platinum Cashback card is the best at the moment, paying five per cent back on the first three months' spend - up to a maximum of £100.
This also offers zero per cent on all new purchases for the first six months, which Moneywise magazine points out, allows you to spread the cost of Christmas.
After the first three-month period, the cashback rate goes back to 0.5 per cent for an annual spend of up to £3,500.
The magazine advises checking out the terms and conditions on the card before committing to it.
Using the Amex website, you can use an online calculator to work out how much cashback you could earn with your planned purchases.
