North West Business Insider magazine has found out how north-west retailers have been gearing up for the mammoth spending extravaganza.
Richard Chapple, from Cheshire-based The Hut, told North West Business Insider magazine he believes he'll be taking more than 2,000 online orders every minute at peak times in the run-up to Christmas.
He said: "We're expecting record levels. We've added a number of brands to our portfolio this year and that will obviously have an impact.
"It's too early to say how much we will take, but we expect to see more than double the amount of orders today and next Monday compared with the previous month's Mondays."
Kelkoo revealed 29 per cent more was spent online last year on November 29th than at any other time of the year.
