"Yours" is a breath of fresh air. At last a magazine that treats its readers as adults. As an oldie (78) I am still interested in what goes on in the world. "Yours" fights on my behalf : for help in the home ; for support for carers ; for an NHS that treats us with compassion and dignity. Add to that the fashion writers that advise and show me where I can buy pretty, sensibly-priced clothes and it's no wonder I love my "Yours" subscription! I love the makeup tips and makeover items, suggestions for wardrobe must haves. I am 58 and work in an office full time and find it difficult to know what to wear and still look smart for the office and not look like mutton dressed as lamb. So big thank you to Yours.

Has anyone else heard this poem taught to me by my mother on the 1930s. Mike Miggs went to feed the pigs, coaxed them with his hobnailed boot. His nose scared away the crows saved them from the farmers fruit. When spring come, mike stole a plum, how that plum was green. Just below the belt an awful pain he felt. Oh God save the queen. The verdict was :- Farmers lad stole a plum, cholera bad kingdom come.
